Tidely·Partners

Independent advisory / Maritime technology

A growth partner to the maritime technology economy.

We work with the investors who fund it, the companies who build it, and the owners and operators who use it. Clients bring us in to make growth happen, and we stay close enough to the business to be accountable for the result.

Where we sit

Three groups, one market. We work across the value chain rather than one part of it.

Investors

Private equity and growth funds underwriting maritime and industrial software. We help them see what this market will pay for.

Technology companies

Founders and management teams building the software. We help them turn a good product into a repeatable commercial motion.

Owners and operators

The shipowners, managers and charterers who buy the software. They decide what wins, so we stay close to them.

An investor gets the operator's read on a market. A software company gets the buyer's read on its own product. A board gets both. Knowing all three lets us tell an investor which plans are fundable, a founder which doors will open, and a board where the value sits.

Practice

Three areas of work. Most mandates run across more than one.

Investors

Commercial due diligence

Underwriting support on maritime, shipping and industrial software. Market maps, competitive position, revenue quality, management assessment, and a clear answer on whether the growth case is available to the asset.

We reach the market as operators, which changes who takes the call and what they say once they are on it.

  • Red flag and full scope CDD
  • Revenue quality and churn
  • Management assessment
  • Value creation planning
  • Exit and vendor diligence

Technology companies

Go to market and scaling

A product story the market understands, and a sales motion that holds without the founder in every room. Pipeline you can trust, pricing that fits the buyer, and a team that closes on its own.

We treat sales as a product: designed, instrumented, and improved on evidence. We start with the reporting, then build AI into the motion so the team can grow faster than the headcount.

  • Product strategy and positioning
  • Sales as a product
  • Pipeline and forecast integrity
  • Named account strategy
  • Pricing and packaging
  • Sales rhythm and reporting
  • Commercial hiring

Boards and owners

Strategy, M&A and capital

Strategy that survives a board meeting, and the transaction that follows it. Acquisitions and disposals, equity story, target lists, materials, and support in the room to close. Industrial and strategic capital as well as financial.

The round is won in the twelve months before it opens.

  • Corporate and portfolio strategy
  • Buy side and sell side M&A
  • Target screening and approach
  • Equity story
  • Investor targeting
  • Process support to close
  • Board and non executive roles
Diligence mandate
Fixed scope and fixed timetable, run against a deal calendar. Written work, primary conversations, and a live line to the deal team.
Retained advisory
A set number of days each month, ongoing. For companies who want someone in the business rather than a report about it.
Board and governance
Non executive and advisory seats, where the knowledge is better held over years than months.
Equity and outcome linked
Where we believe in the business, we take part of the value we help create.

AI in the growth motion

Commercial teams have always grown by adding people. We are building the alternative.

In a market this specialised, good commercial people are scarce, expensive and slow to become productive. We build AI agents that carry a large part of that workload, running inside the client's own systems and on the client's own data.

Account research

An agent reads the fleet data, the trade press, the filings and the CRM history, then writes the briefing on a target account before the first call.

Pipeline and reporting

An agent keeps the CRM current and drafts the weekly sales report. Management sees the real position every Monday without chasing the team for updates.

Ideal customer profile

Instead of a workshop once a year, the profile is rebuilt continuously from every deal won and lost, so targeting improves as the evidence accumulates.

Diligence coverage

The same tooling lets us cover far more of a market inside a fixed deal window, which means a broader evidence base behind the same recommendation.

We build all of it in our own work first. Nothing goes to a client that we are not already running ourselves.

Founder and CEO

An operating career, not a consulting one.

Tidely Partners was founded by Søren Meyer. He spent 25 years in maritime before founding a maritime software company and leading it as CEO through its scale up. He now works across the value chain: adviser to management teams, diligence partner to private equity, and a board director.

Engagements draw on a network of senior operators and former founders who join where their experience is directly relevant.
